Wellness and Recovery through Work
By operating on a performance-based model, BMI has produced a high level of success in the placement industry by focusing on establishing clear goals, measurable objectives, and defined performance benchmarks. Since 2009, BMI received several 100% performance-based contracts to transition formerly incarcerated individuals with substance abuse backgrounds and formerly incarcerated individuals returning home from incarceration into employment. Based on our performance-based model, retention is high, while recidivism to incarceration is low. In connection with job placement, through our network of partners and collaborators, BMI is able to provide supplemental services to support our participants, including comprehensive case management, employment training, soft skills development, computer literacy, and peer-to-peer mentoring.
